Steve, I just picked one up a couple weeks ago. Mine has a .279 groove diameter and a 2.135 chamber length. So it should like the longer brass, if you can find some. I have some .279, .280, and .281 lead bullets loaded. Just waiting for this weather to break. So, I can start my load development.

Danny, Would prefer a red pad. But any stock Ruger pad will work.

Just wondering what's a good aftermarket open sight for a Ruger SRH? I have one in 454 Casull, and eyes aren't what they use to be. I may put a red dot sight on. But would like to try a better open sight first. So, what's your recommendations? Thanks

I picked up a Ruger #1, that's been rebarreled for the 454 Casull. Has anyone reloaded the 454 Casull for rifle use? Any recommended loads. Thanks for any info you can share.
