Ask Ronnie Wells. He may put you on his list. He is mostly a Ruger guy.

Why You Should Carry a Knife Instead of a Gun for Self-Defense

During my military days, I have had it go to a knife twice. They are very superior in a clinch in the hands of someone who can use it properly. Now days I carry two knives daily. A Kershaw Blur as a utility/fighter and a Fox folding Karambit. But there's also a S&W m36 somewhere on me too. And...

    Ruger vs S&W Revolvers

19 total. My current favorites are a mag pug 3" and a Bulldog Target, but they all get shot. I will admit my daily carry is a S&W 36. But it's from 1969 when they still used gunsmiths instead of assemblers to build them.

    Ruger vs S&W Revolvers

I've never returned either one to find out either way. But I will also add that I have only bought one recent version new from each of them. A 642 and an SP101. Both immediately came apart to correct the horrible triggers, clean out the crap the factory left in them from manufacturing, deburr...

44 Mag in Colt 1873 size?

I've shot a customized Ruger Flat top in 480 before. It's not pleasant. I would imagine this 1873 would be very nasty with full magnum loads

    I resisted temptation

When I said that I get great gas mileage from the Harley, I meant I would travel for a decent deal since gas wasn't as big a factor. But if I knew that Special was nearby, I would have been interested for sure.

    USMC Marked Security Six??

There's also several Security Sixes in the weapons locker at the Intelligence Support armory. Those are what lead me to start buying my own. Or at least they were there 25 years ago!

    I resisted temptation

Good thing I haven't been on that forum for awhile or I probably would have had to pull out the credit card for that. Plus the Harley gets great gas mileage. Especially since I already have a gunsmith lathe.

    USMC Marked Security Six??

The M108 was also available to US Army Intelligence and a friend who was Marine Recon back then said that a few of them carried them, but he couldn't remember if they were personal arms or issued.

    Long barreled 32 mag?

I have one. I easily reach 1500fps with max loads of #9 and 98gr swc bullets. Exceptional accuracy as well. The little 32 is my go to coyote/groundhog gun.

    Pistol cleaning

The damage will usually come if the nickel has a flaw that allows the Hoppes to get under it and begin to dissolve the copper plate that was laid down under the nickel. Hoppes will not harm the nickel itself, but cause it to flake off.

Hoppes on everything except nickel plated. It can damage some nickel plating. I use clp on those

    357 Maximum

I've also been trying the Bradshaw-Martin bullet. It and the MP 359-640 bullet are proving to be the most accurate in my Maximums. The B-M is right with the 358-429 in the magnum as well, but uses a lot of case capacity in the shorter brass.

I've actually skinned a few deer with a hatchet. They didn't look like they tangled with machete killer
