Just shoot it. I have 4 Hawkeyes. 2 wood 2 synthetic. All great shooters just make sure the front action screw is tight.

In Australia the Win mod 70 is $1,800.00 double the price of a Ruger Hawkeye. Great rifle but not double the gun the Ruger is. Sorry to rain on your parade boys but this is a ruger Forum.
