    What's happened to the Oscars?

I fired out a long temper ago that the majority of the folks n Hollywood hate the things that I enjoy)gun collecting, hunting, fishing, etc.) so I quit giving them my money (I haven’t been to a movie in 30 years)

What kind of knife would you be?

Buck lite (the old large one with interchangeable blades) my choice of blades would be a couple of drop point blades in order to fill up the nylon sheath.

Marlin 1894c vs. Winchester 1892 short rifle (.357)

I have a Marlin.357, it’s a fun gun, short, easy to carry, good power with light recoil, I have killed several deer with it, you have to keep the range short and shot placement is critical, but it will do the job. Kids really enjoy it, not to hard to handle, they really enjoy shooting jugs...

Call this morning from my Prescription Provider - Would You?

Retired pharmacist here, I have been out of practice for a while, but even back then computers were the norm. So if you filled all your prescriptions at the same pharmacy, and they had a upto date history of your allergies their computer should cross reference the needed information and catch...

    Hydronic boot dryer.

My method is to wad up some newspaper (not real tight) and stuff it from toes to top. Then I put them in front of a small fan and after a couple of hours I remove the paper and let the fan blow into the boots.

7mm Rem Mag No 1 Rifles

I bought two Ruger #1’s, a 270, and a 7mm mag, (my boss at the time wanted me to buy the 7mm so I would reload for both of us) my 7mm also had exceptional wood and I worked up a load that would put 3 shots under a quarter if me and the weather did our parts. Now my go to gun was my 270, both my...

Not for the squeamish: "Excavating A Wasp Nest In NZ."

You don’t have to light the gas, the fumes will kill them, a buddy of mine poured gas in one and lit it and the ground exploded . I find the hole, wait til dark, pour in a couple of ounces of gas then cover the hole with a 5 gallon bucket with a brick on the top, the next morning I remove the...

    Do You Enjoy Your Job??

Retired now, some parts I did enjoy, some I hated. Insurance was a real pain, espically when the you were not told that they had insurance until after you had filled the prescription and then had to cancel the transaction and rerun it for insurance. State medicade was the worst.

I told aarp years ago to take me off their mailing list, worked for a while but now I have started getting them again, when they have a self addressed stamped envelope I place a brick in one of those post office boxes, tape the box with the postage paid envelope on the outside and drop it at the...
