    7.5" New Vaqueros...

They weren't that popular. Old style Vaqueros with 7-1/2" barrels and simulated ivory panels in all three calibers are the scarcest of the regular production Vaqueros (besides the engraved cylinder models of course). Chet15

    Possible 6 1/2" Super Blackhawk?

    7.5" New Vaqueros...

They are scarce. Discontinued because there wasn't any demand for the longer barrels. Davidson's had the exclusive in several different batches in blue and in stainless. Chet15

Factory acid etch Number 1 rifles

Does anybody have pics of the 1A-Etch A or 1A-Etch B Number 1's in .30-06 that Ruger made small batches of many years ago? Thought I had pics saved of those but apparently not. I'm curious if the 1A 7x57 that was recently sold at Poulin with acid etch frame and WBR hand engraved initials had...

    Possible 6 1/2" Super Blackhawk?

It is a factory S46. Has the eagle logo on the barrel. And the barrel is high polish like the rest of the gun. Chet15

Rock Island boxed 10" .44 flattop

Let us know if you are able to verify if that is the gun. Would explain the 10" box.

    1958 .357 Blackhawk

Hey Gary... a few months ago I saw a transition BKH-34 serial number 43089 (exactly 400 guns after the last .357 flattop) that has a box without catalog numbers, matched to the gun. So the box was used throughout flattop production. Now to find a few more transition Blackhawks in the 43xxx to...

Does this qualify as a Double D?

Only three sets known... All owned by the same person in Texas. Instead of any being marked with a "D" however, one of the sets is marked "L" and "R". The other two sets are just the same serial numbers... they got out without a "D" being stamped on one gun of of both pairs. There is...

Rock Island boxed 10" .44 flattop

I thought maybe I'd heard of that one before, but not sure if it is the same gun that you are speaking of or not. It does have a 10" box with it, I presume it says BKH40 on the end. Not an impossible thing to find, but not sure if that box matched the gun or not. And there are/were 2 or 3 10"...

Rock Island boxed 10" .44 flattop

Curious if somebody here might have won the bid on the 10" .44 flattop with box and stags at Rock Island. Real curious to see a letter on that as 29334, if it letters, would be the first known "cleanup" BKH-40 up to now, the highest block of 10" .44's ran to about 24060. Chet15
