Mention was made of grips made by Cary Chapman. I have a story:

When I first learned of CaryC's grips, Cary was making only light colored wood grips, and those stabilized.

I contacted him about making me a pair of grips. I wanted mesquite grips, and Tru Oil finished, as I did not want stabilized. The response was that if he could find suitable mesquite blanks, he'd make me a pair. In a short while he replied he had afound a source, and I was elated!

Then got the message, the woman running that business had died and tha source was no longer available. My heart sank. But then there was a sunrise! Her family was ging to continue the business and I would get my mesquite grips. I was elated!

Here is the result................

I believe he did Wrght well!

Mesquite is great wood, and one the most naturally stable woods out there, so doesn't need additional stabilizing once it's properly dried. You got a high grade cut with those. Congrats. :)
