So Gnappi's post in the classifieds giving away what appear to be black velvety jewelry bags got me thinking. Here's one I use from the liquor store which came with a tiny bottle of Crown Royal. The jewelry bags can also be bought on eBay as Gnappi said. Anybody else? I remember someone here duplicating the Ruger red ones too?

Protoolman, yeah someone here did duplicate the red Ruger bags. I'm sorry to say I can't remember who. But I did buy a few of them. And honestly they are identical to the Ruger factory bags. At least I can't tell them apart.

And then I believe it was jpglsg1234 who had these wooden boxes made. I tried searching just now and couldn't find them. He posted some pictures if I am remembering correctly.

CR bags make nice storage things for all kinds of stuff. And the mini ones can be good for cylinders. But just remember,, they are cloth, and if any major temp change, (warm house to cold outdoors etc) can create moisture. In my spare cylinder box,, I use the bags for protection against rubbing marks. BUT,, I also keep those little moisture silicone packs in EACH compartment with them.
If you wan the CR bags,, make friend with the local liquor store workers. When they put out bottles for display on the shelf,, they remove the bags. Often, never to go back with the bottle. They accumulate them from time to time. Or,, at least,, they do in my small town! And they give them away!
