My mind says, "You can do this." My body says, "Shut the hell up!. What cn I say? I'll be 86 come next August, if I make it that far. I've been saying the decade of the 2020s is trying to kill me. First a bad wreck in my truck January 2 2020 for openers. In 2021 a heart attack, in 2022 coln cancer. Since then three stent and my aortic heart valve was relaced the 14th of last month. Now if I can get my BP down to a more normal lever I just might keep on keeping on. My goal is to break 100 just to see what it's like.

I'm 70, when I work out side cleaning up the yard or doing Garden work my legs start hurting and don't stop hurting for days later!

Am 61, feel 90 and according to my wife, act 15. I finally understand what my mother used to preach to me about making sure each day is worth what you pay for it. I heard that since I was very young, but it gets more profound with each passing year.

For those interested in quiet contemplation, google the lyrics to Pink Floyd's "Time". Then consider they were written by 20 year olds.

Those composers didn't trust anyone over 30.
Except for Gilmour (78 yo), all are now dead or over 80

A few things I've learned over the years...

Men don't lie about their weight (till after a divorce) or their age. You become invisible to everyone except to those who take your cash at the checkout, doing things right and slow may not give better results but it's safer, God has a sense of humor, he takes the hair from your head and deposits it in your ears and nose, drag racing is now guys in heels rushing to a shoe sale,

"Latins" speak Spanish but not Latin, and Italians speak Latin but not Spanish.

I've been on various forums for a long time, and before that I was on various alt.guns subgroups on Usenet as far back as the mid 80s. During this time I've seen plenty of posts from people who were already up there in age when the post was made. I've started to become concerned about how much irreplaceable domain knowledge is contained in these forums that could be lost in an instant if the forum shuts down. It's not uncommon to see an interesting older post, click to see the author's profile, and discover that their last post was several years ago. I've started bookmarking many interesting posts on various forums, intending to go back and copy the important content. Hopefully some of these forums will be archived and available for a long time.

You're right. I bookmark some and print screen others for future reference.

As far as some sites disappearing, it seems as if one company owns many of the specialty info sites and the permanence of the info contained in them depends on the longevity of that company.

I am surprised that there is no one under 30 and only two in the next category older. I knew that the balance of the membership was in the older group, but without younger members we'll eventually be in trouble. Yes, I'm in the most populated group. At least I'm not out there all by myself.
