Strange diameter for .38 spl? Would these work?

As a caster,, I try & make a bullet sized to fit a specific firearm by measuring the throats, and slugging the barrel. Getting a .357 lead bullet may have been done to match a specific sized throat & bore. NOT UNCOMMON!!!!!!! You can easily use those in your .38/.357. The accuracy may or may...

    Year of Manufacture?

We could thread drift a whole lot more on this one subject easily. But let's hope that the OP gets a good letter & discovers he has the rarer variation of his Ruger.

VERY EARLY RUGER SINGLE SIX FLAT GATE #93

I decided LONG ago to get letters on all my Rugers. Partially for collecting purposes,, but also knowing they could increase in expense (following Colt's example). And for a while,, we couldn't get letters due to the covid crap. It's actually quite nice to get what we do get nowadays.

    Ruger 10/22 Sporter Manuals

Welcome to the Forum! Date codes on the cover of the manuals can assist in matching up a proper manual with a firearm. That manual has a date code of 8/16 so it is likely correct for your gun. Even if it doesn't specifically list your model. And a point of info,, often,, a manual can have a...

    Year of Manufacture?

I have heard all kinds of crazy stories about such crap some states have done to try & make it hard to own guns or get ammo or whatever. Here in NC,, it's not gotten like that. In fact,, we actually got an old Jim Crow law shut down last year. It USED to be we had to have a "Pistol Purchasing...

VERY EARLY RUGER SINGLE SIX FLAT GATE #93

Old Colts have been so altered & such,, that having a true factory letter for one to verify it's an "as shipped" instead of a modified gun can add a LOT of value to a gun. I agree that their expense of a letter is a bit much,, but I also feel that a Ruger letter is a bargain!

    9mm Super GP100

"a perfect revolver rimmed cartridge as it should use" Ruger still lists a .357 Super GP-100 that's like the 9mm.

    Sure gets lonesome here.

Many warm & thoughtful comments above. Obviously,, many of us care Bob. The loss of a life-long partner leaves a huge hole in our daily lives. Just remember,, God knows what's best, and has His plan for how we live.. But us mere humans just need to take comfort in the knowledge of the love...

RW grip frame grips #9, #10 finished.

Thanks. Those grips could have been a little bit more "perfect" and all, but it's been a while since I made some grips,, and I made tiny mistakes. I prefer a glossy finish,, even if I'm gonna hunt with it. Besides,, the gloss is hidden if I'm aiming at a deer! :D Looking at the pictures,, the...

    Year of Manufacture?

I was in a gun/pawn shop a couple of weeks ago,, and as usual,, I was carrying. I often open carry when working,, so my gun was exposed. A guy was in there buying his first Kimber. He was very happy. Apparently,, he was originally from NY, and wasn't used to the differences in how it was to buy...
