Some might know what a .222 is, but they may not know what a 7mm BR is or what shoots it.
(by the way, these are just the cases I use for reloading, the loaded rounds are on the opposite wall).

I had a fella try to interest me in a stroomrugger custom, at one gunshow. Some gomer had bubba'd the stock with a 'dimeroll' tool, but at, say, 1000 feet, the bas-relief was okayWent to a show a number of years ago and a guy had a rack of 10/22's. The killer was that the gentleman kept saying Strum-Ruger. Strum, Strum, Strum, Buddy at least pronounce the name correctly. Sturm - like storm with a u. Not strumming the old banjo.
Or the guy who tells me a stoeger 22 and an erma are the same gunThe seller in the OP sounds like he's related to the guy who tried to sell me a Swedish Lahti as a Luger.
Garret-troopersYes, indeed. The willfully ignorant are always around.
They kind of remind me of all the "Snipers" I ran into in gun stores during and after Viet Nam (who probably never put on a uniform except maybe for taking tickets at the theater).
Dont get me started on guitars or violins...I was a Professional Dog Handler for most of my life showing conformation dogs of many different breeds at a high level in AKC dog shows and we see the same thing in dogs! When confronted by a "know-it-all", I usually give them the correct information and when they disagree, I usually just walk off. Years ago I learned it's a waste of time to try and educate a know-it all!
Guitar chat I generally avoid, guitar folks are as bad as discussing religion or politics.Dont get me started on guitars or violins...
Ther'e not?? I don't know either of those guns except I had a Stoeger Luger 35-40 years ago that was a piece of junk.Or the guy who tells me a stoeger 22 and an erma are the same gun
Stoeger .22s were big and bulky, in aluminium and steel, and some in steel. Erma made at least two sizes, in good ol "aluminium alloy" (zamak) which were smaller, and a lot smaller, than the stoeger, in .380, .32, and .22, also badged as beemans and some spanish version.Ther'e not?? Yes, if that.Garret-troopers
I once wanted a custom barrel for my 'o3a3, and took it around the corner from where i bought it.I walked away from a vendor, who was selling after market EFK barrels, Just for the sake of conversation, I mentioned to him I had an EFK .357 Sig barrel for my Ruger 944. He got very indignant and went on his anti Ruger rant. Ruger manufacturing was not consistent, guns were not accurate, unreliable, etc. He didn't want to hear any different. Not a good business man.
