JUST OVER 200 RUGERS AT POULIN'S UPCOMING AUCTION !!

Many collectables with an unheard amount of No. 1's ! Something for everyone. Hawkeyes, Flat Tops, Consecutive numbered sets, one of a kinds, items from the factroy archives, personal WBR firearms, unique engraved pieces and so much more. Many being offered were sold through past Ruger benefit auctions. This Premiere Auction will be June 7, 8, 9 and 10 plus even more coming for the online auction of July 22, 23 and 24 then another round on October 7, 8 and 9 plus another grouping for the Fall Premiere Auction that will be at the first of November. The year ends with another online auction in December with even more Rugers! Never in Poulin's history have they had the volume of Rugers that are presently in house. There are so many, that some are even scheduled for the June Premiere auction of 2025 !

Definitely some nice and rare offerings! Good luck with the auction. I look forward to watching it for sure.

I had a few moments of sweating but no sequential serial numbers for my existing guns or items I just had to have...........for this auction.

I looked it over and was amazed at one, the number of Rugers and two, the number of consecutive s/n pairs being offered and then the number of rifles. I probably will go back and look it over a couple more times to look at them closer (even with the lack of DA's ). You never know what you might see/find that would make good trading material.

There are DA's coming ! If I remember correctly, TWO sets of US marked concsecutively numbered Security or Speed models. Keep watching as lots more in July auction too.

A large portion of Saturday's (June 8th) auction is rare (and some common) Rugers. Good luck with your bidding.

Well there was some deep pockets bidding i bid on three rugers the #1 lymann commemorative went for $6000 plus premium ($7300) total #75 bearcat went for $2400 plus premium a tri color with correct black wreath box $5000 plus premium I think im going to start selling some of mine

I watched that tri color. The one without the box before it went for $1300 IIRC.

The one I was sorta watching was the 4 digit Single Six. It had non factory grips and I really couldn't tell how bad the finish was. It went for $275. I decided to let it go…I've spent too much lately.

If I bid and won an auction for $500, what would the actual cost be to me, excluding my end FFL fee

I suppose the tri-color with box went so high due to no chips on the cylinder? But, over $6k by the time they take it home? Seems well more than double one with box and a few chips. Make sense or auction fever?

The tri with no box went $1300, I think. Meanwhile one on GB keeps circling for $895. ???

Not sure I'll ever understand live auctions. I'm convinced too many sellers fail to calculate final cost.

Jimbo, the cash/wire fee was 18.5%, plus sales tax, plus shipping, plus maybe your FFL fee. I was estimating a 30% adder when I bid. A little more on lower cost items. For a $500 bid you would be close to $700 by the time you get it.

I was chasing the -Six DA's. I bid on all three U.S. marked guns, but I have examples of all of those already so didn't chase them too high. The one I didn't have and ended up getting was the .380 Rim Speed Six. I have several of the .380 Rim Service Sixes, but needed the Speed Six. So I'm happy with that, especially since I got it for $100 less than my max.

I wanted Stan Terhune's SSM4 #30 with the steel grip frame. I bought a bunch of Stan's #30 guns when they were fist sold by Amoskeag, but that one went too high then and it went too high this time too. I had set a $1250 max on that one and it decisively blew past that and sold for a whopping $3250 before premium.

Also wanted the prototype 50th anniversary BP5F Old Army but it also went higher ($2000) than I was willing to go.

I was interested in the two MKII678US prototypes. But went higher than I wanted to go. I did end up with the consecutive set of MK678s.

25% internet premium, plus shipping. Problem with most online auctions, we're not on a level playing field with in-person bidders.

I work for Poulins. I bought the BP5f 50th anniversary as I have a lot of Old Army variations yet I sold my two #15 Elmer Keith Old Armies as I was tired of people saying "Elmer who?" when I mentioned I had them. The best way to buy at Poulins is with certified funds (check or money order, no platic cards) and to use phone bidding or absentee bidding (no extra charge for these methods). The premium is 17.5% plus any applicable sales tax. If you use Poulin's bidding platform over the internet it adds 1%. The other bidding platforms that are so well known can add about 3 to 5 percent extra. The only disadvantage that a phone bidder or absentee bidder has over those in person, is that they have to rely on photos and the descriptions (which as an industry first, are quaranteed for all stated about each item). I hope this clears the "air" a bit. I too was shocked at what the tri color lightweight brought as well as a couple of others. Some were true bargains as well. Thanks for the participation.

No complaints about Poulins. Neil, you really helped them put together a great list of Rugers. And your descriptions are excellent. As for fees, it is below what I pay when I buy from Rock Island. The phone bidder idea just sounds weird for me. Rock Island does that as well. Trouble is that I'd have the person on for all the Rugers and, as happened this time, buy none. Still at 18.5%, you guys are not out of line for auctions. It's the exuberant bidders that, well, just wanted some more than I did.

Keep 'em coming! I did snag a few a couple years ago from you guys and hope to again.

Keep watching ALL of Poulin's auctions, not just the Premiere (November) as we just got another 1,000 Rugers in. All this is unbelieveable and the items are scheduled out to a year from now. Keep watching.
