^^^^ I like that 38 Chevy.
Great choice we did the same thing we had rav4 to tinny and we thought about a Subaru not to excite about it it's a Subaru ended up with a brand new jeep grand Cherokee love the carWell, we were looking for a bit better fuel economy than both of our 14-15 MPG guzzlers get. We had sort of settled on a 2015 or newer Subaru Outback- but to be honest I found that to be a somewhat unexciting choice. We looked at other makes too and ended up at a Toyota dealer last weekend- driving RAV4 and Highlanders. New ones were amazing, but the used ones in our price range were very "plasticky" feeing. Then my wife saw her favorite vehicle of all- a 2017 Grand Cherokee Limited. We had a 2014 Overland prior but it had too much hi-tech stuff. The limited was just right, low miles, and it looked like it was new. So- new daily driver. View attachment 45141
We knew the tires were getting thin but figured we'd make them last the summer. But on our "shakedown" cruise the next day I felt a vibration- turns out the left rear was losing a belt. I called the dealer on Monday and they apologized for letting a vehicle be sold with unsafe tires, and cut me a $700 check. (Price of overseas tires they put on used cars.) We went to Costco yesterday and had a set of Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 tires installed- had to pay a bit out of pocket but that's ok.
24 MPG and a happy wife.
On the note on the rav4 I was impressed with the resale value of the car people want those cars . I think it cost us not including maintenance and gas 10000 to drive it for 6 yearsGreat choice we did the same thing we had rav4 to tinny and we thought about a Subaru not to excite about it it's a Subaru ended up with a brand new jeep grand Cherokee love the car
