VERY EARLY RUGER SINGLE SIX FLAT GATE #93

As far as your last paragraph about your son and your stuff......... hopefully that won't be a concern for a very long time.......I have a dumb question to ask and this is thread to ask it.....it has not been mentioned, but what price range are we talking on the value of a first day manufactured...

    Year of Manufacture?

Don't you just love liberal governors ? We have a guy over here named Newsom, that the Demon Crats are gearing up for the next election after they run sleepy Joe one more time. Joe, who doesn't know what he had for lunch today.....Yes, IMO, CA is doing everything possible to run all gun shops...

So you paid $200 per gun and it was expedited to take only 3 weeks to get a letter. No discount for the second one. Another $200 for the second gun. I have to ask you. Did these guns belong to Wild Bill Hickok or maybe John Wesley Hardin ? Or maybe to John Wayne or Clint Eastwood?? And I guess...

    Year of Manufacture?

I can understand how the NY guy was happy. When I first moved here to CA, it was much easier to buy a gun. In MA, you had to jump thru hoops to buy a gun or should say to have the State privilege to buy a gun back then......which sucks. In CA back then, I could just walk in, but a gun, and just...

    Year of Manufacture?

Yes I do read into that and you are correct !! We always called it "Taxachusetts" amongst other things......When I first moved cross country, my Boston accent was pretty think, and people would ask where I was from. I would say "I was a Republican from Massachusetts. There were only 4 of us and...

VERY EARLY RUGER SINGLE SIX FLAT GATE #93

I think he will chime in, but he says his gun was actually a First day of manufacturing gun, as according to the book, but was not shipped out till Dec. 31, 1953.......That's why he wanted to see the first day manufacture date on the letter...

VERY EARLY RUGER SINGLE SIX FLAT GATE #93

Hittman, why did you have to go and say: "71 years ago". Are you trying to make us feel old? Yes, I agree and understand what you are saying but I also agree that it sure would have been nice if both dates were mentioned. Hey, it is what it is and it was made in Dec '53, so it IS special...

VERY EARLY RUGER SINGLE SIX FLAT GATE #93

I agree, it would have nice to have BOTH dates down, as that what makes that gun special in my opinion, as everything was done in Dec. '53, but again both dates listed would have been sweet!

It looks very nice. You did a good job. I was just curious why you did that ? What happened to the original slide ? Just wondering? It Looks good though. My son loves his, says it's a tack driver. He carries another smaller Sig for every day. I haven't seen either one though as he lives in...

    Year of Manufacture?

EFL58, I just noticed you are from Mass....I was born and raised there, till I met my wife there in the early 80's. She was from California and was just there a short time, but she didn't like the cold. After we got engaged, she convinced me to move here. Women have a way of doing that. But I...
