GP-100 .327 FedMag: Really stupid prices lately!

Well, I guess I'll just have to keep looking for the GP-100 version and hope that I find one that's not an "instant" collectable! Thanks for the input.

    New SR-40 just received!

OK! All of you SR-40 experts, lend and ear, and hopefully a voice. This is my second .40cal auto. My first being a Hi-Power, which is a quite enjoyable piece of machinery. What should I do to this little beauty before my first trip to the range? Anything in particular to watch out for...

GP-100 .327 FedMag: Really stupid prices lately!

What's with the astronomical prices that are being asked, and I might add, paid, for these revolvers. For a cartridge that's supposedly dieing, you'd think prices would be a little more reasonable. I've seen some auctions end up over a $1K. And the Blackhawks are even worse. What's behind...

Trying to understand the SR1911 demand ......

I'm with you on not understanding the bias against S&W 1911s! I have an S&W Pro shop 1911 in 9mm. Fabulous firearm! It's a joy to shoot, very accurate, and a real beauty. Doesn't mean I don't want a Ruger, but, I'm waiting for the shorter models to arrive.

Trying to understand the SR1911 demand ......

I'm waiting for two things to happen. 1) The initial rush to buy something new to the market, especially from a manufacturer like Ruger, to be over. You always overpay when you gotta' be first. But, if that's your "schtick", then so be it! 2) I'm also waiting for Ruger to bring out a 4"...

    Sight picture with bifocals

Well, as for old, I'm crowding 67. I've been in glasses since I was around 36, still in the military. I now wear tri-focals. I've found, like many others here, that the middle lens (the bi-focal one) works the best when shooting. I do have to tilt my head a little farther back than I would...

WTS or Trade: S&W M25-13, .45 Colt Mountain Gun!

Lock zit! Yes it does. The M25-13 came into being after S&W started that. I'll have pictures up early next week. Can't before then. Sorry!

The two new .22 Ruger revolvers

I didn't vote for either one. I already have several Single-Six's and I'm not really interested in getting another one. I don't have a need for the SP-101 in .22lr. However, if they offer the SP-101 in .22magnum I'll one of the first to pony up to the bar. That would a really nice addition...

WTS or Trade: S&W M25-13, .45 Colt Mountain Gun!

Trying to get my camera back from my daughter. Loaned it to her for a family trip to Disney World. Now I'm going out of town for two weeks. I'll post them as soon as I get back. Hooking up with my daughter to get back "borrowed" items is often a challenge. Sorry!

I Thought Flat Tops were Blackhawks........

Sorry! I read your post several times and simply didn't pick that up. If I had of, I wouldn't have said anything. My mistake. As for it being an exclusive, I really couldn't say. There's no indication anywhere on the gun that it's one. I bought it from a local gunshop and they said nothing...

I Thought Flat Tops were Blackhawks........

The comment above, "The Bisley is just a different grip frame on the medium frame BH.", is slightly incorrect. Some of them may be. But my .45 Colt Bisley Convertible is definitely not on the medium frame. It's full size.
